Sujit told CEOCFO that the Center for Constitutional Transition main goal is to bring legal experts together so as to brainstorm on legal matters. The experts study and research legal systems from different jurisdictions and compile their findings. By so doing, constitution building processes in upcoming democracies are made more efficient because those involved in them can have accurate sources to refer to. To this end, the firm has collaborated with over 50 law experts from 25 countries across the globe. Sujit said that the organization has stood in the gap that previously existed between constitution building and legal knowledge. According to him, this gap often made constitution making processes stall at some point due to lack of adequate knowledge.
Life as an Immigrant
The question of how life in the United States is like for immigrant was thrown Sujit’s way. He brilliantly answered that life could never be difficult for someone with enough academic qualifications. With three degrees- all in law, Sujit finds no difficulty in fitting in in any environment he finds himself in. His experience has been more of learning than working experience. He told CEOCFO that throughout his career, he has met different people from various cultural backgrounds who have taught him how to listen. For the full interview, click on this.
