Capitol Anesthesiology has been a part of the Austin, Texas medical landscape since 1973. Growing to over 80 American Board of Anesthesiology certified physicians and 130 Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists is the direct result of the associations focus on quality, professionalism and service to the community.
Citizens rely on Capitol Anesthesiology at over 20 locations throughout the Austin metropolitan area including facilities such as level 1 trauma centers, hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers. Anesthesiologists perform services in a variety of specialties beyond general and regional anesthesia. Some physicians have specialized training and certification for cardiovascular and thoracic anesthesia as well as for obstetric, pediatric, and monitored care procedures.
Business is far from the only service that Capitol Anesthesiology provides to Austin as they dedicate a significant portion of their resources to charity groups locally and internationally. Among other philanthropic ventures, practitioners volunteer to provide services to Austin Smiles and Operation Smile; these non-profit organizations arrange reconstructive surgery for children with cleft lips and palates.
Medical education is also a focus for Capitol with their involvement in the Dell Medical School at the University of Texas.
